"Learn, learn and learn again. This, or something similar, could be the motto that describes my learning biography pretty well - even at my advanced age. With this in mind, I am very much looking forward to my new job as a DAAD lecturer at the University of Debrecen, which I have just started.
Since 2023 I have been doing my doctorate at the Free University of Berlin on the topic of money and economics in German literature of the Weimar Republic. Before that, I worked in Dublin (Ireland) from 2018 to 2022 and in Riga (Latvia) from 2014 to 2018 as head of the language department of the Goethe-Institut e. V. Hungary is not new territory for me. As a teaching expert at the Goethe-Institut Budapest, from 2008 to 2013 I was responsible for the Hungarian, Slovakian and Slovenian PASCH-schools in the Goethe-Institut network. I started my career with an apprenticeship as a chemical technician and industrial clerk. My first degree was in business administration at the University of Applied Sciences Rhineland-Palatinate and my second degree was in German studies and political science at the Humboldt University of Berlin and the Free University of Berlin.
As a DAAD Lecturer, I am happy to answer any questions you may have about studying in Debrecen and the DAAD's funding opportunities."
